Kids at your wedding?

What is it about a ceremony that makes babies cry? They are so adorable...until they are balling and fidgeting during your nuptuals. At the reception it is alot easier to forget about kids but at a ceremony they will let you know they are there.
It is completely acceptable for you to make at the very least your ceremony just for adults. By the way, how come that parent never takes the kid outside?

What is a fair price?

Take a look at other companies in your area. The price of a DJ is very regional. Just ask people in Nebraska compared to New York. Throw out the most expensive and the most inexpensive for similar services. The most expensive, if they have nothing to truly show for the added cost and the least expensive because of the worrying you will do leading up to your wedding to see if they are really trustworthy. Then make your decision based on who makes you feel the most comfortable and matches your requirements and desires for your wedding.

Make sure you really know your spouse if you do. I have seen it lead to a couples first argument as husband and wife.

I always thought it was a classy thing to do. A marriage is a joining of two families, so proposing in a family setting makes perfect sense. In January there will be a ton of bridal shows, don't let pushy vendors make you purchase services based on their schedule...it is your day. While booking a vendor with plenty of advance time is the right thing to do, (for your own sanity) don't say yes to fast to a pushy sales pitch with 100 brides behind you. Use a bridal show to get a quick overview of the wedding professional and make notes to set appointments with those who spoke to your needs/dreams.
Then before you know it the day will be here and everything will be perfect!

A miricle at a wedding!

One of our brides at Fun Times DJ lost her grandmother a month before her wedding. She was very close to her and on what turned out to be her last day promised to make it to her wedding. The wedding day was very stormy and dark. Then just before dinner everything changed! Everyone was standing at the back windows of the Country Squire in Grayslake, some with tears of joy. The skies had opened and there was a double rainbow cutting through the sky.
Michelle's grandmother owned a daycare center named the Rainbow Connection!

When you are elegantly or even clumsily fumbling with each other on the dancefloor during your first dance together as husband and wife realize what that moment means. In the same way you might nervously give your vows to each other, know that it is the ceremonial aspect of it that is important. Imagine the pride in your parents holding hands watching you. Think of your friends who have known you two as a couple and their pleasure watching you tie the knot knowing they were there with you. The moral to this blog is to enjoy the moment. Don't feel bad that you didn't go to dance class or create a viral You Tube first dance that will be seen around the world. Chances are that if you try to do something like that when it is not naturally you, the fear you will have leading up to that moment will ruin the love and tradition of the first dance.
