So you got engaged on Christmas...

I always thought it was a classy thing to do.  A marriage is a joining of two families, so proposing in a family setting makes perfect sense.  In January there will be a ton of bridal shows, don't let pushy vendors make you purchase services based on their schedule...it is your day.  While booking a vendor with plenty of advance time is the right thing to do, (for your own sanity) don't say yes to fast to a pushy sales pitch with 100 brides behind you.  Use a bridal show to get a quick overview of the wedding professional and make notes to set appointments with those who spoke to your needs/dreams.
Then before you know it the day will be here and everything will be perfect!

Make your wedding YOUR wedding!

One of the most important things you can do to truly make your wedding a fun reflection of you and your new spouse is to include the things that make you unique.  We recently had a wedding for a great couple at the Chicago Illuminating Company.  Brooklyn and Robert wanted the music and design of room to be a reflection of them.  The Dinner music was a collection of songs from the Twilight movies and Harry Potter.  Watch this video to see another creative way they incorporated their style.  It was another amazing wedding thanks to Engaging Events by Ali!

Having a wedding with 75 to 125 guests, Heather Ridge is perfect.

If you are looking for an affordable location to host a small wedding make sure you check out Heather Ridge Country Club in Gurnee, IL.  Matt Nordigan will be a great help and make your life easy as you plan your wedding.  Add a Fun Times DJ to the event and everything will be perfect.  Give them a call at (847) 680-7350.
